Lake Country Whitetails is comprised of two different projects, our deer farm and our online hunting show which brings you the magnificent white-tailed deer in breathtaking cinematic fashion.
What more can we say, we are whitetail enthusiasts! From their impressive antlers to their big brown eyes and graceful canter, there is a gentleness and majesty to the whitetail that inspires us to share them with you.
During the early part of the 2009 bowhunting season, I purchased an inexpensive and lightweight handheld VADO HD camera to document my hunting experiences and share them with my friends and family. After collecting several hours of footage, I decided to edit all of the footage into a memorable video that I could share on Facebook. The short video segment ultimately led to the launch of one of my life long dreams, Lake Country Whitetails.
My vision for Lake Country Whitetails has always been about more than just another hunting show. It’s about capturing and sharing a special relationship that we have with these fascinating animals. Ever since I was a young boy hunting with my father, the white-tailed deer always had an allure and grace beyond any other creature.
The Lake Country Whitetails team is committed to bringing you a different online hunting show experience, featuring unique aspects of the whitetail’s seasonal behavior with detail, accuracy, and intrigue. We want our viewers to appreciate the versatility and adaptive nature of this creature and walk away from our online episodes inspired and armed with proven tactics that everyday hunters can apply to increase their odds against such a formidable game animal. All of this will be brought to you in a breath-taking cinematic High Definition format.
In early 2010, I happened to stumble upon a deer farm in Waumandee, WI while out filming some summer velvet footage for Season.one of the show. After watching and filming these deer for quite sometime, I knew this was what I wanted to do. I spent the rest of that year researching the industry, touring several farms throughout Wisconsin and attending industry events such as the annual WOW (Whitetails of Wisconsin) picnic in Gilman, WI.
My decision to start raising deer on our farm in North Lake, WI came shortly after and was based on my family’s admiration and love for these creatures. We are anxiously awaiting the hard work and enjoyment that comes with caring for and watching over our white-tailed friends. Our deer farm will allow us to enjoy and interact with our animals everyday as we work to help them grow bigger and healthier. We also look forward to welcoming others to our farm for the same opportunity.
If you live locally or will be in the area, please feel free to stop by and take a tour.
